Beta 0.2.0


For the Beta-Release we first completely reworked the shop and trap-GUI to be more elegant and changed the design of buttons and the tiles to be a bit more textured and more interesting on the eyes. We also changed the look of the loading screen and added a new button to the main menu: The Achievement-button. That opens a new screen where you could see what we also managed to implement in this update: Achievements.

Those achievements can be earned by doing certain tasks in the game, for example killing enemies, using towers or just starting the game. Those earned achievements get a timestamp to see when yougot them and have each their own image, text and title. The screen works the same as the level-menu but with other objects, sizes and visualization. We also added a progress-Bar to show how much a player already got by playing the game.

With that we also added a SaveLoadManager to be able to save player-data and reload them if the player enters the game. So, we’re saving some stats about the gameplay, the usage of certain tools and the achieved achievements.

There are also new backgrounds and new textures everywhere to make the game more appealing. The options-button in the main menu is finally working and allows the player to reset its save-file. This removes any data saved in the game.
